Terms and conditions
The customers agrees to the following terms and conditions

General.

  • Coastal Bins Limited is a New Zealand business and all transactions will be billed in New Zealand dollars.
  • “Coastal Bins”, “contractor”, “us”, “we” or “our” refers to Coastal Bins Limited. “Client” “customer” or “you” refers to the customer who has engaged the services of Coastal Bins Limited.
  • Refunds will be considered on a case by case basis.
  • You authorise us to store and use your personal details that you have supplied. Coastal Bins ltd will comply with all New Zealand Privacy Laws including Privacy Act 1993.
  • Please read and agree the appropriate terms and conditions detailed below for the correct services requested and under the following headings Residential Wheelie Bins, Skip Bin Hire and Holiday Home Owners service.

Residential Wheelie Bins.

  • Collections begin at 7am on appropriate days. The bin shall be located kerb side or an agreed position prior to 7am.
  • The term of this agreement is contained in the Residential Service contract which will be sent or delivered to you prior to services commencing. Bins not placed out for servicing on agreed service day and times will be deemed to have been serviced.
  • The customer will not dispose any unacceptable waste into the bin. Unacceptable waste shall include but not limited to any waste that is, hazardous, toxic, corrosive, liquid, biological, medical or infectious by nature. Also unacceptable in the general waste bin is concrete, dirt or hard fill products, gas bottles, tyres, car batteries, lithium batteries and green waste. Any bins containing unacceptable waste shall not be emptied.
  • Coastal Bins shall invoice the customer 20 days prior to the “last service’ day as detailed in the Residential service contract. Failure by the customer to make payment within 30 days of invoice date shall deem the contract as terminated.
  • The bin supplied by Coastal Bins shall remain in the ownership of Coastal Bins and upon termination; the customer agrees to allow us unimpeded access to the customer’s property to remove the bin.
  • Should the bin become lost, stolen or damaged while in the possession of the customer, we reserve the right to seek costs for a replacement bin from the customer. Genuine wear and tear will not be claimed against the customer.
  • Environmental laws do not allow us to wash any bins during the collection service. The customer agrees to maintain the bin in a sanitary condition.
  • The bin will be delivered within 10 working days of us receiving payment in full.
  • In the event of public holidays falling within a normal working week (Mon – Fri) the collection days, following the public holiday shall run one day later than normal service.
  • Overfill bins shall not be serviced. The lids must close on its own accord without assistance and /or restraints.
  • The bin is not to be removed from the customer’s address as detailed in the Residential Service contract.

Holiday Home Owners Service

  • Collections begin at 7am on appropriate days.
  • The customer gives Coastal Bins all unimpeded rights to enter the customers property to perform the required service.
  • The customer will not dispose any unacceptable waste into the bin. Unacceptable waste shall include but not limited to any waste that is, hazardous, toxic, corrosive, liquid, biological, medical or infectious by nature. Also unacceptable in the general waste bin is concrete, dirt or hard fill products, gas bottles, tyres, car batteries, lithium batteries and green waste. Any bins containing unacceptable waste shall not be emptied.
  • The term of this agreement is contained in the Holiday Home Service contract which will be sent or delivered to you prior to services commencing.
  • The agreement is for 10 services and we shall invoice you after the completion of the 9th service. Failure to make full payment within 30 days of invoice date shall deem the contract as terminated.
  • The bin supplied by Coastal Bins shall remain in the ownership of Coastal Bins and upon termination; the customer agrees to allow us unimpeded access to the customer’s property to remove the bin.
  • Environmental laws do not allow us to wash any bins during the collection service. The customer agrees to maintain the bin in a sanitary condition.
  • The bin placement within the customer’s property must be in a suitable location as to not impede our staff access, Steps, stairs, restrictive walkways and other obstacles may restrict our staff’s ability to carry out the required service. Failure by our staff to gain unimpeded access to the property or to the bin within the property shall deem the bin as serviced.
  • The bin will be delivered within 10 working days of us receiving payment in full.
  • The bin is not to be removed from the customer’s address as detailed in the Holiday Home Service contract.

Skip Bin Hire

  • If ordering a bin online, it is important you include a telephone number that we can ring during normal working hours to confirm delivery and removal dates. No bin will be delivered until these dates are agreed with you.
  • Normal skip bin hire is 5 days however longer periods are available by arrangement.
  • All bins have a maximum allowable waste height. Do not place any waste above the top lip of the bin. Any waste above the top lip of the bin will be removed and left on the customer’s site or the bin may not be removed until the customer removes excessive waste. Extra transport costs may be incurred by the customer.
  • Bins ordered for the removal of hard fill material will not contain any general waste and vice versa, bins ordered for general waste shall not include any hard fill material.
  • The customer will not dispose any unacceptable waste into the bin. Unacceptable waste shall include but not limited to any waste that is, hazardous, toxic, corrosive, liquid, biological, medical or infectious by nature. Also unacceptable in the general waste bin is concrete, dirt or hard fill products, gas bottles, tyres, car batteries and lithium batteries. Any bins containing unacceptable waste shall not be removed until the customer removes the unacceptable waste.
  • Once bin is delivered, the bin is not to be repositioned on the site. We shall not be responsible for any property damage or cost involved in us removing any bin that has been repositioned. Any costs incurred by us to effect the removal of a repositioned bin may be charged to the customer.
  • Bin prices cover a weight allowance.
    Bin weight allowance only applies to General waste bins and does not include hard fill bins
    General waste bin allowances

    • 9m3 allows 1350kgs
    • 6m3 allows 900kgs
    • 4.5m3 allows 600kgs

    Weights over allowance is charged at $0.17c per kg.
